Rizospaston Avenue took its name from the monument dedicated to Rizospastes for their contribution to the island’s unification with Greece. It is located at the end of the road. The Rizospaston Avenue is also known as a palm-avenue of Argostoli because of the palm trees that were planted alongside the road. Other known buildings along this avenue are the Philharmonic School of Argostoli and the Kosmetatos House.
